Anmoore, West Virginia – Amsted Graphite Materials is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded a significant $8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). This grant, the second Amsted Graphite Materials has received from the DoD within the past year, will be instrumental in development of new technology and processes related to the manufacturing of carbon and graphite materials for military, nuclear and semiconductors at the Anmoore, West Virginia, facility.
This new investment will enhance Amsted Graphite Materials’ ability to meet the increasing domestic demands for strategic carbon and graphite materials, further solidifying its commitment to supporting U.S. national defense and advanced technological development. A portion of the grant allows for expansion of advanced baking equipment and other items aligning with the terms of our three-year contract with the DoD.
“This grant not only allows us to expand our production capabilities, but it also reinforces our dedication to delivering high-quality graphite materials that are crucial for defense applications,” said Gavin Noel, Vice President and General Manager of Amsted Graphite Materials. “We are honored by the continued support from the DoD and look forward to advancing our contributions even further.”
